Accessibility statement

Our accessibility commitment

Transcend Mechanics targets WCAG 2.1 AA conformance for this catalog. We audit with axe-core in CI on every change, manual keyboard testing, and a screen-reader walkthrough (VoiceOver on macOS / NVDA on Windows) before each release.

Last reviewed: 2026-05-18 (initial v1 audit).

What works well

  • Keyboard navigation: every interactive element is reachable via Tab; a skip-link is the first focusable control on every page.
  • Screen readers: cart updates, form errors, and order-status changes are announced via the appropriate ARIA live regions.
  • Contrast: every text token used on this site passes WCAG 2.1 AA contrast against its background.
  • Reduced motion: when your operating system signals prefers-reduced-motion: reduce, every animation and transition is collapsed.

Known limitations

  • Payment is handled by Stripe Checkout on checkout.stripe.com. Stripe's accessibility is governed by Stripe's own accessibility statement. The redirect to Stripe is announced before navigation so it is not surprising.
  • Product photos are descriptive but not yet exhaustively alt-tagged with engineering detail. We're improving these as we go.
